Strong trust in foryouandyourcustomers among employees

Strong trust in for you and your cus to mers among employees

At foryouandyourcustomers, we conduct an employee survey twice a year as part of our quality management. Understanding employees’ views and needs represents an opportunity to discover starting points for further development. Some 91 employees took part in the survey.

This survey asks questions about the satisfaction of foryouandyourcustomers employees with their workplace, the scope of their duties, internal communication and communication between different cells. The focus is on gauging satisfaction with personal and professional development, as well as how willing employees would be to recommend foryouandyourcustomers as an employer or service provider.
The statements are rated on a scale of 1 to 9 (1 being “I disagree with the statement”, and 9 being ”I completely agree with the statement”).

Robert Josef Stadler, a member of the Management Board of foryouandyourcustomers, was thrilled with the results – the average score of 6.95 points clearly exceeded the average of 5. He deems it an “encouraging development” that this score marks yet another improvement on the results from the last survey.

Being part of foryouandyourcustomers

The organisational form of foryouandyourcustomers – synarchy – differs from other work organisations in certain key aspects: “The articles of incorporation of all of the foryouandyourcustomers companies embed the stated purpose of supporting employees in their personal and professional development,” says Robert Josef Stadler, “instead of reducing everything to an adolescent level with slides, table football games and the like.”

“At foryouandyourcustomers, we support our employees in their personal and professional development. Our success within the market is largely down to our experience, training and further development. A high level of satisfaction leads to low turnover.”

Jens Plattfaut, CEO Munich

Employees at foryouandyourcustomers are characterised by a high level of self-determination. At the very beginning, this may appear to be an obstacle. Jens Plattfaut, CEO of foryouandyourcustomers Munich and in charge of professional development, says, “At foryouandyourcustomers, we support our employees in their personal and professional development. Our success within the market is largely down to our experience, training and further development. A high level of satisfaction leads to low turnover.”

Art is an integral part of the culture at foryouandyourcustomers, and is the foundation of an inspiring work environment. This is one of the reasons why 96 per cent of those who took part in the survey gave the statement “I like our office and my workplace” an above-average score. In addition, 87 per cent feel an above-average degree of satisfaction with their work tasks. “Being surrounded by art in the workplace means a pleasant working atmosphere where I enjoy making further progress. I work on tasks that I like, together with colleagues that I consider to be friends, and I’m part of a special kind of company that gives me the freedom to develop my strengths,” says Manuel Hanel, member of the wider company management and who has worked at foryouandyourcustomers since 2012.

The most important results for the Management Board

The Management Board considers one of the most important findings to be the fact that employees tend to be willing to recommend foryouandyourcustomers to friends as an employer, with 7.4 points. Confidence in recommending foryouandyourcustomers to friends as a high-quality service provider came out with a score of 7.5 points, which delighted the management team (see graphic for question 8). Sebastian Hutter, System Engineer at foryouandyourcustomers, says, “The Exploded View provides foryouandyourcustomers with a method for maintaining a holistic overview of business processes, channels, customers and systems. Its approach and in-depth knowledge in the field of e-commerce solutions (especially SAP Commerce Cloud) makes foryouandyourcustomers an outstanding partner for management consulting.”

The lowest score was for the question relating to environmental awareness within the offices. In this case, “only” 60 per cent of those surveyed gave foryouandyourcustomers an above-average score. “Our greatest potential for improvement is in relation to the point about environmental awareness,” says Robert Josef Stadler, “which is why we have decided to significantly reduce the number of flights that we take in 2019.” The annual gathering of all of the group’s employees resulted in over 200 flights in 2018. This is set to be more than halved thanks to the choice of the central location in Feldkirch as the venue for this year’s event.

The Munich office has also taken the initiative and come up with the “green office” concept, whereby the foryouandyourcustomers Munich team will integrate environmental protection and sustainability into their day-to-day practices over the long term. This means rethinking and reflecting on ways of actioning change as a collective, and thus consolidating environmental awareness within society. Our actions tend to be based on the mindset that the workplace revolves exclusively around financial concerns, so that we end up neglecting the personal and social sphere. We want what we do to be beneficial across the board: for us, for our customers, for society and for the environment.
