What the project is all about

The platform of the Lagerhaus cooperatives, www.onfarming.at, which has been successful for several years, offers farmers numerous services and tools related to the agricultural business. The functions of onfarming.at are easy to use after registration and can be booked individually if required. Towards the end of 2021, the project was launched together with foryouandyourcustomers to realise the new agricultural and technical online shop on this platform. 

The aim of the project was to offer a comprehensive range of operating resources, spare parts and other products on onfarming.at, tailored to the needs of agricultural businesses.

What challenges there were

Due to the given organisation of the Lagerhaus cooperatives in Austria, a major challenge was to enable each individual cooperative to determine the assortment and the various prices in the agricultural and technical shop itself.

Online purchases are settled via the existing personal Lagerhaus account. Registered customers in the shop receive the same conditions as on-site.

What makes the success

With foryouandyourcustomers, we were responsible in the project for the development of e-commerce services based on SAP Commerce as well as for the overall architecture of the solution. Through the successful implementation of numerous projects, we have many years of extensive expertise in this area. In an earlier project, we already jointly implemented the PIM system of RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG, also based on SAP Commerce. Thus, most of the assortment data required for the shop was already available. The e-commerce processes for shopping cart, shipping, payment and billing are tailored to Lagerhaus' specific business requirements.

Thanks to the cross-location cooperation with colleagues from foryouandyourcustomers in Vienna, St. Pölten and Zurich, we were able to implement the project successfully and on schedule. The shop went online as planned in November 2022 under onfarming.at and was presented for the first time at the Agrarier 2022 trade fair in Wels.

With the go-live, we have reached a milestone on the basis of which we can continue to work. Numerous other innovative features for the shop and for onfarming.at are planned for the future, which will continue to be supported by our team from foryouandyourcustomers around Andreas Damberger and Manuel Hanel.
