For 2024, Christoph Gesing is the artist behind the traditionally square pieces, merging his signature style with the magic of the holiday season. Known for his powerful, expressive works, Gesing is distinguished by his intuitive use of color and form. In his "Canal" series, two tones harmonise, flowing organically on the surface the canvas, creating a profound and contemplative effect. 

The relationship with foryouandyourcustomers began in early 2023, when Gesing presented his work at the 67th exhibition in Düsseldorf and connected with the staff. This encounter inspired the current collaboration. Gesing describes the joy of knowing his works are given as Christmas gifts as "a sign of connection." 

In his Cologne studio, Gesing finds the peace and inspiration he needs to create his minimalistic, deeply reflective "Canal" pieces. “Here I can gather myself and develop new ideas.” Surrounded by colors, paper, and wood, everything seems to flow – a quiet, focused process that doesn’t need many words. The bright city lights reflect in the studio’s windows from the nearby shops and cafés, yet inside, time seems to stand still for a moment – a place where art and silence meet, like a gateway to another world.
