The 94th exhibition at foryouandyourcustomers presents art by Wolfgang Ganter in Stuttgart.
For the 2025 Christmas Edition, Wolfgang Ganter presents a new series of his self-organizing paintings. Chemical and biological processes become visible in these unique works, which oscillate between geological structures and cosmic space. In addition to the Christmas Edition, the exhibition will feature two further series of works.
Wolfgang Ganter (*1978, Stuttgart; lives in Brandenburg an der Havel and Berlin) presented his work at foryouandyourcustomers in Munich in 2021, gaining attention for his fusion of photography and organic processes. For the 2025 Christmas Edition, he was invited to create a series of his self-organizing paintings.
In the MICROPAINTINGS, Ganter documents chemical reactions at a microscopic level, transforming them into large-scale pigment prints that oscillate between geological structures and cosmic space. The WORKS IN PROGRESS reinterpret art-historical reproductions through bacterial cultures, exploring new realms of color and form.
The juxtaposition highlights Ganter’s concept of self-organization: natural and artistic processes intertwine to create richly layered, highly detailed worlds that balance chance, control, and depth.
