The 101st exhibition at foryouandyourcustomers presents works by Alexander Deubl in Munich.

In the tradition of geometric abstract art, Alexander Deubl develops his own unique visual language with his glass objects. His works transform passive observation into active participation and create immersive spaces of experience in which the boundaries between object, space, and perception become blurred.
Alexander Deubl (*1983, Munich) explores light, colour and perception in his artistic practice. Dichroic mirrors shift in form and colour depending on the viewing angle – reflections appear fleeting and dynamic, never quite within reach.
His angular, multi-part mirror objects resist direct self-reflection, generating a productive tension between self-image and the materiality of light. Drawing on the traditions of Op Art and kinetic art, Deubl plays with perceptual illusions that bring space, light and viewer into constant dialogue.
Deubl's works are held in significant public and private collections and have been exhibited at institutions including the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich. In 2019 he was awarded a residency fellowship at Villa Concordia, Bamberg.
