The 52nd Business Breakfast shone a light on the digital information supply chain on multiple fronts
Tools like the information model and the Exploded View are necessary on a company’s path to successful digitalisation and overcoming the complexity that comes with that.

At the end of August 2019 the Baar location opened its doors for the 52nd Business Breakfast of foryouandyourcustomers and welcomed 42 attendees from 18 different companies. The Business Breakfast, which was entitled “The digital change in Central Switzerland – successful companies report on their experience”, offered guests good insight into how digitalisation can be set up in a company, as well as providing an ideal platform for exchanging experiences surrounding the topic with other professionals.
The head of the Baar office, Stephan Mueller, opened the Business Breakfast for Central Switzerland by presenting the talks in a digital context. “Successful digitalisation calls for digital and analogue networking. This morning should help with this. Jeannine Vythoulkas will look at the entire Exploded View from a methodological perspective and give us an insight into tried-and-tested tools for the digital change. Then Lukas Odermatt will shine a light on how Leister is using the possibilities of digitalisation to achieve a successful customer experience and open new business models. Tobias Roelz will then take us into the digital engine room and report on his experiences.”

Jeannine Vythoulkas, senior project manager at foryouandyourcustomers Baar, gave the first talk.
Jeannine Vythoulkas started her talk with the upcoming challenges of digitalisation and how these can be overcome especially with the digital information supply chain. She explained the tools for digital change, and also showed how interaction on the individual levels needs to work in order to ensure the smooth function of the supply chain for the digital product.
“Developing the digital information supply chain must be a core competence,” according to Jeannine Vythoulkas.

The presentation from Lukas Odermatt from Leister showed digitalisation from the customer’s perspective. With his talk on “myLeister World”, a digital system that puts the customer at the centre, meets the customer’s needs exactly and allows for the ideal customer relations, he took the guests in Baar through digital experience management at the traditional company of Leister. In conceiving this system, Netflix was one thing that served as an example of optimal customer orientation.
In the corporate vision of Leister’s digital business models, the potential of digitalisation and the opportunities arising from it are clear.

The path to successful digitalisation

Tobias Roelz, VP Global IT & Digital Business at Komax.
In his talk, Tobias Roelz gave the audience a look into the digital engine room of Komax. He reported on the upcoming challenges arising from the constantly changing market and the responsibility of leading companies to adapt to these challenges and changes flexibly in order to stay at the top of their game. The digital information supply chain system map for Komax, which was developed in collaboration with foryouandyourcustomers and presented on one of the A0 posters, clearly illustrated to the audience just how complex the digital engine room is. “We discuss management level decisions with this poster in front of us,” Tobias Roelz said.
Tools like the information model and the Exploded View are necessary on a company’s path to successful digitalisation and overcoming the complexity that comes with that. Calling on the audience to visualise process landscapes more, pay great attention to uniform formulation and stay agile as entrepreneurs, Tobias ended his talk and thus concluded the formal part of the first Business Breakfast of foryouandyourcustomers in Baar.
At the buffet lunch that followed, guests again had the opportunity to interact with the speakers and other attendees, learn about more experiences of other companies and find inspiration for their own digitalisation projects.
